    The Young Professionals Network of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts (YPN-ULEM) realizes the value of inclusion to support social and economic opportunities in the urban communities. We offer an array of partnership opportunities to meet both of our mutual goals and to improve the lives we serve.

    Become an YPN-ULEM partner and open the doors of communication to hundreds of members in Eastern Massachusetts. Our expanding membership, comprised of young corporate, government, non-profit, entrepreneurial and community leaders between the ages of 19-40, offers corporations, small businesses, non-profits and individuals who partner with YPN-ULEM the direct link to a major economic base.

    Business Opportunities and Partnerships

    YPN-ULEM is committed to building long lasting partnerships, and we will work with your business to ensure an approach that aligns with both our missions and meets the needs of your employees and the lives of people in our urban communities. There are a number of ways that businesses can get involved with YPN-ULEM:

    1. Encourage employees to become a Member: Being a member of YPN-ULEM offers numerous opportunities in personal, professional, and social development. With modest membership fees and several levels at which to join, a YPN-ULEM membership affords you: unique networking access with various executives and employees in a variety of industries; membership development through our monthly meetings, partnerships and social events; the ability to visit one of our over 60 chapters in over 30 states, instantly having a feeling of home no matter where you go and; numerous discounts for national and local businesses and events. Membership has its benefits.

    2. Make a financial contribution to YPN-ULEM and/or engage your employees in YPN-ULEM’s fundraising efforts: Making a financial contribution to YPN-ULEM, sponsoring an event, or engaging your employees in our fundraising efforts supports our mission of fueling the Empowerment movement across Massachusetts. We participate in a multitude of events each year – from STEM Day! or Taking it to the Streets to our signature fundraising event Leadership Development Conference – and we are always looking for participants, sponsors and donors.     3. Provide pro-bono support through in-kind donations and/or services: YPN-ULEM needs more than money to succeed. Do you or your business have services and skills you can offer? Some companies can provide expert skill sets in their field, for example legal advice, marketing and social media, branding, web design/maintenance, printing, or graphic design, etc. Some donate tickets to theater or sporting events that we can distribute to our young professionals in our network, or significant gifts or experiences we can use for fundraising auctions. Items might include, but are not limited to: event tickets, sports memorabilia, game or concert experiences, celebrity dinners, etc.

    4. Support YPN-ULEM by offering grants or mini-grants: As part of our efforts to provide resources, YPN-ULEM raises funds through the corporate, foundation and individual donations that are granted to young professional or community programs that expand capacity and offer support in starting and sustaining new initiatives.

    Community Partnerships

    YPN-ULEM recognizes that collaboration with community organizations is vital to better serve young professionals in our communities. YPN-ULEM seeks to build meaningful relationships with other organizations to not only to fuel the Empowerment movement, but to help organizations achieve their goals as well. There are a number of ways that community organizations can get involved with YPN-ULEM:

    1.     2. Partner with YPN-ULEM on a Community initiative:  YPN-ULEM will work with your organization in community initiatives that combines the mission, messaging, and goals of both of our organizations in order to reach a broader audience and make a bigger impact.  YPN-ULEM’s membership recruitment campaigns provide a great opportunity to partner and create co-branded messages for distribution through traditional and social media.

    3.  Share your skills:  Young Professional & Community programs need more than mentors and money to succeed.  Do you or your organization have services and skills you can offer?   Whether it's help with technology, marketing, legal, accounting, strategic planning or fundraising we could benefit from your expertise.

    4.  Donate space and/or food:  There are lots of ways to use your organization’s space to help YPN-ULEM.  Host a meeting, or host an information session for employees about YPN-ULEM, host a fundraiser, friendraiser, and training.  Provide food for meetings or program events for the youth or the community.

    5.  Raise awareness:  You can make a difference simply by helping us raise awareness of YPN-ULEM and resources to support our programs.

    6.  Facilitate new relationships:  Do you like to bring people together?  Introducing us to peers in your circle enables us to spread the word about the value of quality YPN-ULEM brings to our communities.

    Opportunities for Individuals

    The support of caring individuals is essential to help us fuel the movement across Massachusetts and, in effect, strengthen our urban communities through quality programming. There are a number of ways that you can get involved with YPN-ULEM:

    2. Join a committee: Engaging in our fundraising and community efforts supports our mission of fueling the Empowerment movement across Massachusetts.     3. Host a networking or fundraising event: Do you like to bring people together? Maybe you’re looking for ways that your friends or colleagues can get involved in the community. Hosting a networking or fundraising event for YPN-ULEM could be a great way to introduce your circle to other community-minded individuals while enjoying a fun time and supporting a worthy cause.

    4. Volunteer: YPN-ULEM strongly believes in the impact you can have on the community through volunteerism. We ask that all members perform 20 hours of service throughout a membership year. That is less than two hours of service per month. Through our committees and volunteer events we offer multiple opportunities for you to serve.
