    Thank you for your interest in joining the Young Professionals of the Urban League of Eastern MA (YPN-ULEM)!

    YPN-ULEM is an organization committed to uplifting the Greater Boston and Eastern MA region while fostering the personal and professional development of our members.

    Our membership is comprised of young professionals age 19-40. We look forward to your participation in continuing our efforts to make a difference in the Greater Boston and Massachusetts community. Our members play an active role in our community-service projects and are encouraged to participate in at least three community service events per year.

    In order to become a member, you must complete an application and membership fee of $50, which entitles you to membership of the YPN-ULEM, Urban League of Eastern MA (ULEM), National Urban League and National Urban League Young Professionals for one year.

    All potential members are encouraged to attend a General Body Meeting and Open House before joining YPN-ULEM. General Body Meetings are typically held the 2nd Thursday of each month at ULEM or virtually while social distancing. We also host a variety of community, professional and social events and programs to keep our members engaged and informed. New Member Orientation is held bimonthly.     Membership Criteria

    Members of YPN-ULEM must meet the following requirements:

    • Be a young professional (age 19 to 40)
    • Have an interest in serving the Greater Boston area through social and civic engagement
    • Complete and submit Membership Application
    • Pay Annual Membership Dues in the amount of $50, which includes joint membership to YPN-ULEM and the Urban League of Eastern MA (ULEM)
    • Choose a service committee.
